How to break down a screen.
Grab the screen you are wanting to break down.
Make sure it is clean of any ink and that the tape is removed
Wet both sides of the screen in the wash booth.
On one of the shelves in the washroom is the stencil removed.
If the tub is empty, add some water from the tap and some of the pure stencil remover from the tub on the top shelf.
For health safety, use the gloves and ear muffs provided.
They are usually hanging on the hooks on the washroom door.
Using the scrubber in the tub, apply the solution to both sides of the screen.
Make sure it is rubbed all over the emulsion.
Let it sit for a minute or so.
Now it is ready to wash out.
Using the jet washer, clean both sides of the screen until there is no emulsion left.
You may have to go over areas again.
To check there is no emulsion or specks of dirt left on the screen.
Hold the screen up the light. A fully-stripped screen should be see-through. You will be able to see any leftover bits of emulsion/dirt.
Now that the screen is stripped of all the emulsion. Place the wet screen on the drying rack.
The screen is now ready to use again for a new exposure!
